hahaha...when I was in school, they decided sight reading was better than phonics. I've got a spelling/reading problem. My brother didn't learn to read.

And all that new math? They just love changing what isn't broke. Looking for imporvements and skipping the part about the basics giving foundations for adanced educations of even a personal effort type.

And now we have the no child left behind which stimulated teaching to the test instead of teaching the basics.

And the Rev. Wright. The church tennets reject middleclassedness. Without definition of what that means. Is it a financial status, a particular attitude? What the hell is it? Do they see it as a submission to white control? I have no idea.
