mortages?

McCain wants to buy them all now which is what made me start thinging about it. Simpler to let people keep the property. If the bank forecloses, everybody loses. They probably wouldn't even loan the mortgage money to a new buyer so everybody's out. Houses have no resale value now, why not keep them occupied and paying. The government wouldn't have to buy them then. It might even help losen up credit.

Paulson's talking. Don't get a thing he's saying. Good thing so many people analyze and discuss this stuff. At least I get a glimmer of something intelligible out of it then.

Maybe.

Well. There's a quote on the screen. Paulson: Must not do anything to destablize system. What? What's stable about it now?

"Americans will have to be patient while we act." Can't do anything but wait it out anyway. But fear's a driving force, hard to resist. No money, no security.

There is no security other than the never changing Lord, anyway. We all forget our sunday school.

Even so, we all want to eat tomorrow. Tough call.
