Why be punitive? Everyone's at fault in the mortage deal. Helping the economy helps everyone. But the people with power are the bigger abusers even with the greed on both sides.
It's hard to understand the financial world without a BA. Lenders were deceptive. They knowingly issued loans knowing the financial realities of the deal. Borrowers often don't understand. Ignorance is no excuse, but if ordered, the ignorant are the lesser of the evils and wrong doers.
So. Why don't the loan holders re organize the loans? I don't understand business so don't know why they don't. Cause they don't have to? Wouldn't that be better than losing money? I don't get the world, not at all.
And why do businesses operate on regular loans? Why don't they use cash as they go? None of this makes sense. Do you think the whole system's screwy?
