Eleanor Who?

PARKER!!! That's who. You know = Sound of Music = Julie Andrews, one of the best talents ever born? Quit being such a bunch of nitwits.

Man, yesterday was different. Dr Charm was really nice, verging on charming. He must have mood swings.

AND, I got all my bills caught up. Insurances, all domestic charges and even have gas in the tank. Mailed my rental games back finally. I am so on top of things. For a minute.

GARNER, GARNER, GARNER!!!

I know, I know, I know!!! And can I edit posts??? No, of course not. Maybe I should profread, wait 15 minutes to post to see if changes dawn on me. It's not as if I forget things...my memories get temporarily misplaced is all.

And back to Cary, he too made a Doris Day movie. With Tony Randal? Gig Young? don't recall and that misplaced memory may not pop back, and Audrey Meadows. Two more great ones. The thing that stuck with me most and had a great impact was that he was having a business problem, the people woudn't sell or something, and Doris asked him if he'd talked to the people personally. He hadn't. So he did, and the deal went through.

James GARNER. Maybe I won't loose that bit again.

I hear that Regis did a great job at the Oscars. I slept through the first hour and missed it. He does the best interviews anyway, but I'm extra sorry I missed the beginning.

I've got Dr. Charm Boy this aftenoon. If I didn't have to see him, I just as soon not. I'd even go fishing instead and the last time I fished I was about 4. Maybe I'll hit up the salad bar at the hospital. That's always good for some roughage.

And don't forget Charade. You'll never convince me that anybody's better than Audrey Hepburn. Yes, and Hitchcock. About my tolerance for scary movies, except for Psycho which I won't watch. Who wants to watch Janet Leigh bleed to death? But the lead in that, or the killer or whatever he was, was in Orient Express with Albert Finney and a huge cast of excellence. Another big favorite. Lauren Becall, anyone? She's the best, too.

I don't appear to have very adventurous inclinations. This is true.
And while we mentioning Haley Mills, Parent Trap, Polyanna, The Chalk Garden? Surprised me, that movie did. Debra Carr, wasn't it. Elegance and brilliance combined. Like Eleanor Parker.

Lindsey Lohan, who?

no tomale man?

He made the best tomales. Especially the pineapple ones. Wonder if he got caught. Obviously, selling tomales out of a chest in the trunk of his car is unliscened food dealing. But they sure are good. I'll miss him. I even went over the parking lot one day just to find him, but he wasn't there.

And then there's video games. Let's not talk about it. I did finally get through the first boss in Spiro, and got to the second boss, but keep falling off the damned edge. Over and over. Tension, anxiety and real pissy attitude errupts. So I boot up Animal Crossings, or Lego's Star Wars. Gotta send the rentals back and try out some new games. Probable won't like them. Rarely do.

Yesterday, I woke up just in time for the final show of the orrigional What's My Line. Then slept through it. Today I woke up in time for the final 1/2 of what must be one of the very first shows. Dorothy Kilgallen was the only pannelists I recognized. I think one of them was the Governor, though. I wouldn't be familiar with the New York politicians of those years. Late 50's? Early 50's? I should look it up.

Arlene Francis was always a favorite. She had a difficult end, I hear. Alzheimer's. She was quite something. Very smart, with a niceness, beauty, talent and was in one of the best Doris Day movies ever. Pillow Talk? Pishaw, I say. Arlene was in the one with James Gardner, one of the two best actors of all time the other being the only other perfect actor, Cary Grant.

Arlene was great in that movie. Doris bottled homemade ketsup in her basement, was smart enough to marry James Gardner, and made soap comercials for Arlene's husband's soap company. How could a plot like this miss?????

I'm worried about Dancing. Don't know if I'll be able to stay awake. Could take a shot in the mornings, sleep all day and hope I wake up in time. Or I could not.

hey, cool

Ben Stein was back on Cavuto. I like Ben Stein. I like Cavuto even though his politics suck.

Oh, good. Forbes is back on Forbs on Fox. I like Steve Forbes. His politics suck, too, but he's real likable. He might be right about the flat tax. I can't tell cause I don't know what it is. He looks pretty good for a guy with 5 daughters. Not too exhausted.
Ah, the draft link is out of my browser range. But it's still under posts. I like this site. Maybe I love it, too.

Another 2 days of nothing on tv. Oh, the Oscars are on tomorrow.

I'm sleepy. Should take a shot and sleep all day. The animals are fed, so the coast is clear.

And then there's O'Reilly. On Leno, Leno asked him if Obama's calm demeanor under attack is a sign of professionalism. O'Reilly said no. It's savay politician jive. Well, he didn't say jive, I did. Nevertheless, he couldn't give a liberal even that much. Everything he sees is through a negative prisism. Tell him he's biased, go ahead. You do it.

I think I'll vote for Obama.

Wish I had something to talk about, but I just don't.

late night

I'm watching Craig Ferguson. I like him. He's my favorite. He and Conan. He had Betty White on. She comes on and does bits every once in awhile. I love her. He's a man of taste, intelligence and humor. I'm often not awake this time of day, so miss the late night talk shows mostly. And now I'm watching O'Reilly again to see the Doris Day spot. I slept through the first half of his show earlier, was up for about an hour and fell asleep again. It's the interferon.

He's sure Hillary's emotion is deliberate and insincere. How do you spell that? It's beyond me.

I saw the Dancing with the Stars stars on Oprah. I made sure to tune in and fell asleep later. It IS starting in March. The l7th? The 19th? Sometime in March and it's still Febuary isn't it? There's always something to look forward to, thank you God.

Oh! I invented a new recipe. Well, recipe and new is really streaching things. I had frozen cheese pizza's, my favorite, and salsa. Combine and enjoy. It's really good.

Why Obama, Craig Ferguson. It's charisma. It's important. A leader needs to inspire following. Who am I for? I don't know. I hate to pick because I go through 4 years of anxiety over having maybe made a mistake. I like McCain and Hillary best. I hesitate about Obama, but not sure why. Whatever I'd have chosen, the winner will be the winner, and we just have to go from there.

Excellent! I did something or other, the box froze and when it came back my post was gone. But guess what? It was in drafts! I like it here much better than MySpace.

I'm supposed to be able to record to tape from the tv control, so I might try it out and see so I can record Dancing. Or I might save myself the frustration.

The absolute idiot

What the hell. Iraq didn't teach Bush anything. Kosovio for Christ's sake. He's just determined to things his way. Doesn't matter if it's not others' ways. People just mess up when they go into other cultures. The British got kicked out of India. The British and French set up Iraq as it suited their sense of geography, disregarding the culture conflicts and the peoples' inteests. Cause why. It's the damned Christian thing to do. Freedom comes from God??? What if they have a different God?

Bush's stupidity passes all dimensions.

life as usual

I can't edit posts. I don't want to explain it. I found drafts. Again. What's it say? Don't remember. I can see I'm gonna love this site as much as MySpace.

I need to ready for Dancing with the Stars. It starts again in March, I think is what I heard.

It couldn't be me. At all.

Me all over again. And again, and again....

New blog. Really hate MySpace. So, no. I'm not hiding from Missy or anyone else. MySpace froze me up twice 20 minutes after I was there. Well. I like to blame my space. It's fun. Sue me. And see? I forgot the big deal I wanted to blog about. Favorite blog links.

Chickens in the Roadhttp://suzannemcminn.com/blog/
Considering I have to save this to draft if there is one, haven't looked yet, and then have to go to email and copy the 2 addys I saved before the MySpace debacle, it's quite an effort. And I'll screw it up somehow. I may see you again some day, and I may not.

Well I finally got back. One of my links disapeared in email. Was it me? Probably.

Suzanne Mc McMinn, romance writer for Harlequin/Silhouette.
Charming stories about her new life in the country in W. Virginia. She moved to family lands and is building a house.

The other link is for another romance writer, Jill Shalvis. Another fun look at the small, every day of life in Tahoe. With bears.

The thing about writers' blogs is that, well, they know how to write. They can make laundry interesting. I think Shalvis' blog title is Author Jill Shalvis. I just don't have it in me to collect another URL.

Because I DON'T HAVE BROWSERS!

Blogger offers draft autosave. It's lovely. There's no draft link. What genius designed this one?

I found the draft, but don't know how.
