one or two to go.

I need to call the dr. There's bump thingie growing by the surgey spot. It hurts. My whole arm is starting to hurt more and more.

But I didn't need a nap today so I'm Wide Awake. Slept in till 8:30. Rare and precious. But I'm missing my favorite game shows. The orrigionals from the 50s or 60s. They run at 3 or 4 am and I haven't been awake then lately. It's a pisser. Oh, Kristie's tangoing. Terrific hair. The song matches her look...bird of paradise song, same for her costume and hair. Lovely. Good choices. She looks good, but I'm not loving this dance. Oh, I know. It's not a jive.

Len likes her. Carry Anne finds her one dimentional, she doesn't get emotion, great technique, but needs passion.

And yet she gets all 9s. See? Judges are a mystery.

Tonight the show ends at 9:36. Such interesting tv programing.

How many to go?

I really don't know. Oh, think Kylie Minogue's singing tomorrow. I caught part of an interview with her. She said the American maket is nortiously tough to break into. Good excuse for not trying. Stay where it's easier. Please.

I'm feeling nice and hateful.

And Pricilla's scores. one 8 and 2 9s. She's got the best scores of the night. So far. Gotta see how what's her name the ice skater does. She's fabulous and my forgetting her name has nothing to do it anything. Oh, Jason's up. He's good.

He jives.

Up and down with the judges remarks. It wasn't my favorite, but he got pretty good scores. 2 8s and and a 7.

I kinda like this not voting. Saves me a lot of stress and you a lot of bitching. But I do wish I could vote for favorites. In a way. In a vague, vague kinda distant way. I'm real happy not voting come to think of it.

Kristie's next. Her costume looks jivy. We'll see. It could be tangoy and I'm just projecting.

all 7s

Marissa jives.Oh, I like her costume. REally good so far. So oI'm watching her partner more. The pros just do such a good job and I love this stupid dance. But Marissa looked good to me. The jivers all seem to.

Len said it's too careful. Needs to put it out more. Carryann says it's boring. Needs to give it more. She's about to cry. They're being really hard on her. She's such a nice girl.

Oops. 2 6s and a 7.

Pricilla tangos. It's a good style for her. She does great with the latin dances. Well, she looked good to me, but that doesn't mean anything.

Bruno likes it. Len loved it. Wish I had his remarks to post. Carrie Anne likes it. Pricilla really moves will. Wonder how she'll do with the jive? hahaha...next week?

I'm tired of blogging now.

But shall persevere, for awhile.

Shannon, good scores. 8s.

Adam's up. Good cause he dances with Julieann. But it is a tango. Intresting song. Haven't heard it before. I like all these unknown songs. Adam's doing pretty good. Juliann is great as usual. He's such a non dancer, but looked good tonight. But the judes say???

The judges like him, not his technique, but did better. Len praised juliann's coreography. Yes, I can't spell that one either. See? She's really good. Said she made Adam look like a dancer. And I think he did great. Much improvement.

Time for a jive? Maybe.

Wonder if they'd have a jive dance show?

Nobody'd want to make me that happy.

I also got grapes. How many years since I did that? I was thursty shopping and thought they'd help. The didn't, but they taste good.

Mario's scores not so great. Tom just recommended fiber for Len since he's a little cranky. Tom is just one of the funniest people I've seen.

But back to the jive. So I'm watching Derreck, Shannon's not so great, but copetent? Dereck's great. and he's not over-dancing her. Although he so easily out dances her. He know show to showcase his partner and adds a lot of style and flash and class to his dances.

Bruno liked it pretty well. Len says she did a good jive. See? I didn't like it so much. And I liked Mario lots better than they did. I don't get it. So I just go along for the ride? Wrong image.

More tangos and jives in a minute.

lovely.

had to reboot. such fun. and games.
and indigestion.

Don't know if my first post posted. But Marelee, lovely jive. Then Steve, very nice tango with great song choice. Didn't catch his scores. Busy bitching about the stupid neet.

Christian jives. Really good. It's such a fun dance, and they looked to be having fun dancing it. Oh, Bruno mentioned the fun in it. Excellent. Good remarks, hope the scores are good.

I finally did it. I made salad. And ate some already. I got soy beans this time. I really like them. They've almost no flavor, I think it's the texture I like so much. Have to cook the frozen beans, then de-pod them. That took awhile. Is it worth it? Yes. I like them. Will try to remember to get more and maybe just eat them with the salted pods next time. They're really that good. Very, very healthy.

And then there's the clam dip. The dip I've yet to make. But should. Shouldn't eat it, though. Bet I do. But I got green leaf letuce to compensate. It's got lots of vitamins.

The store I shop at. Just not so great. A box style, with odd choices and often, no choices. No dry mustard. So I used ballpark for the dressing. Only industrial sized bottles of red wine vinegar. I'll never use it up. May never use it again.

Mario's up. Hope it's the jive, but as usual, didn't catch it. Nope. Tango. he looks so darned good. A real natural dancer. The song's odd, but it has a tango sound. Roxanne with style. And the judges say...

Oops. Len doesn't like it at all. Messy footwork, etc. The others say he's harsh. Carry Ann says it's messy but he's got style and they expect more. Bruno liked it a bit better. I think he got the feeling in it at least. Oh, good. Another jive. Shannon.

no dancing, sadly

The tabs cover the title, so I can't really tell if it's spelled ok. or close to ok. or is even in English. But Dancing is over for the week and the review did't really show for me. There was a title link for it on the front page, but no article. And then some of my daily blogs are wonky.

Well, pioneer woman's closed down for day 3 redoing her site. Chickens in the Road and Jill Shalvas are having server uproars. But maybe Chickens will work better for me. I have to empty memory, boot up and go right to her site first thing so it doesn't freeze up on me. Like, it freezes for a very long, long, long time. Several minutes at least.

But I shall persevere. I really need broadband. It'd help lots.

Still no grocery shopping. I've been thinking about McDonalds. Why? Cause I'm hungry.

I haven't been able to wake up today. Think it's the shot. I took it late last night. After Dancing, so I'd stay awake. I'm just starting to wake up now and it's after noon. Think I'm done with this in June. It can't get here soon enough.

So. What, besides clam dip, should I get at the store? See? McDonalds.

One more dancer to go.

I don't know who's still up for judgement. But the boy band is supposed to perform again. The Jonas Brothers? I think I saw them on a talk show or interview or something. Do they have a reality show? Two pros dancing. Need more, all of them, lots more pro demonstations. That's the funnest. These boys have lots of screaming girls in the audience.

Next saved: Marley's safe. And Kristie's safe. Got 3 women left, Marssia, Priscilla and Monica. We'll see what happens. And I'm still awake and not in such a foul mood, although sleepy.

They did a fun bit with one of the guys from a previous season. A soap actor, asking people in NY questions about this season's stars. He was 'super dancer' with a cape and everything. I enjoyed it.

Pricilla's safe. Monica vs. Marissa. Monica goes. Not nice. She really is a charming person.

Oh, good, the jive's next week. I just need to be awake.

Penn's gone

Not good. Why him and not Adam? See? it's so hard to tell what's going to happen. Adam may have a large fan base. I'll miss Penn's partner, too. Kym. she's cool. Oh, good. Shannon's safe, but I just like Derek. But she did do a killer second dance.

There's fabulous dance company on...lots of flying stuff. It's amazing that people don't understand how atheletic dancing is. The ballroom stuff, too, takes lots of muscle the flexability. People don't appreciate the good stuff in life.

but what i really don't like

is the waltz. I don't get the weird head postures. So far, they've done fun dances.

Jason's got the repeat dance. I'm surprised Kristie didn't get it. Jason does really well for such big guy with no dance training. Has the natural thing like that other football player who's name I can't remember.

I'm just really afraid that Penn's on the way out. It's so hard to say since it's so much about fan base and I don't know who has what fans or not. The athletes probably have large numbers of voters. Remember Master P made it through week after week until even the judges were complaining that he was still there. Fan base. He surely didn't try at all, and he's a lousy dancer.

What's cool is to see the bad dancers keep on chuging.

The Jonas Brothers performing, don't know them and 4 of the pros are supposed to dance along. They're great, the dancers, looked like they were doing a sort of jive. But they were on way too short, now they're back. I like all 4 of theres guys dancing, too.

So, what was that Kylie Minogue deal I heard. If only I'd listen. Maybe I was hallucinating again. Or maybe she's part of a line up of entertainers for the comming weeks. Or maybe i should just get over it and move on.

First Hour

Recap of everyone's first 2 dances. Very fun. I always like to see them again. although, I inagine there will be plenty of snark about it. I like it and don't care what other people think. Oh, right. They're not thinking. Just finding a snark spot.

That Mario does a fin job. He's really good. Some say it's cheating for both Kristie and him to be in this since they basically dance professionally. Ok.

I think I watched the last 3 dances last night. Kristie's elegant and excellent. She's got the bendy down pat. Figure skating gives you the bends? She's highly trained in the graceful. She's just georgeous on the floor.

Now the worst happens. No, I'm not cooking. It's the elimination. 2 to go tonight. In a minute. Maybe I'll read the review if it's up. No, it'd spoil it for me. But I'm getting tight in the gut. I just wanna see dancing.

not the lowest

scores for Adam, but not so great either. He's got a good attitude.

Two dancers left? Mario and Marley, I think. Wonder if I'm missing someone. I might be. But I'm done blogging. Just too sleepy to care. Or continue.

Again and again.

Shannon Elizabeth and the quickstep. Very nice. Her partner's another favorite of mine. Derek, brother of I can't remember her name. Very fun routine, looked good. Bruno loved it, loved, loved, loved it. Carryann loved it. And Len? Likes the routine. Best routine so far.

Oh, boy. Kylie Minogue's singing tomorrow. She has not nice things to say about us here in the back 40. I'm surprised she'd lower herself to perform here. Maybe's it's money or something.

Jason the football player's up. Mombo. He did good last week, didn't he? Moves well, I think. This is a night of unknown music. He looks pretty good, but didn't like the routine all that much. It was fun, but seemed kinda light. The judges like him a lot. I don't know what's wrong with me. But they always see things I don't.

I like his partner, too. No way I'm trying to spell her name. There's only one or two pros I don't care for too much, and no, I'm not naming them. Unless I feel like it. Which I might. Or not.

But what I'm tired of is blogging. Not sure I'll maintain throughout the show. And I don't care.

Wow. Jason got 3 9s. Very good scores. And I just didn't see it at all. How good am I?

Marissa's up. Quickstep.

Looks good, but maybe not her style, exactly But she moves well and has lots of energy and enthusiasm. She does broadway and preforms well. Improved from last week say the judges. But some loss of footwork/timing. It's a hard dance. I'd vote for her.

(i catch many, many typos, believe it or not)

Marissa got all 7s. Decent scores.

But the judges scores don't atter all that much. It's all about fan base. Adam's p next. With Derek's sister, Julieann? I'll have to listen. Adam's doing better. He really put lots into this. And his partner's Julianne? With an 'e'? The judges say he's entertaining, but not exactly a mombo, but fun.

Still wishig I was alseep

But it's so important to carry through on assignments. Uh, who assigned this? Oh, ya. Me. Well, it serves me right.

And why does the show to to 10:02? Very odd timing with this production.

Pricilla and the mombo. Latin dances aren't my favorites, exactly, but sometimes they're fun. Sshe really can move well, has more of a dancer's body than many. Another interesting song choice. That's the 3rd or 4 song tonight I haven't heard before, but really fit the dance. She did really well, nice comments from the judges, too. But she's only getting 7s. I really can't tell from remarks what the judges will score someone. I thought she did a lot better than that. Maybe just because she looks good moving.

take tpp...

Monica-mombo. She's just a bit awkard, but obviously really working at it. It's gonna take a lot of of work for her to get a dancer's body.

Oh, good. Penn's up next with the quickstep.

Judges not thrilled with Monica, but very nice to her and supportive. Might have something to do with her tennis status. But she obvioulsy works hard at it and puts her all and very best into the performance. That always pleases the judges. I'd vote for her just because I like her. I'd vote for almost all of them.

Monica got the lowest score so far.

But now, my favorite. One of my favorites. I really like his partner, Kym. Kinda looks like he's dancing by the numers, counting all the steps, but haing fun, smiling, enthusiastic, energetic. Just very awkard, not smooth or elegant. Good music for the dance, AGAIN. Lovely. Penn should shut up and just listen to the judges. He runs his mouth way too much. I don't care if it is artistic temperment. it's stupid.

Pricilla and the mombo next.

Here we are again

While my grilled cheese grills, here I am, wishing I was asleep. It's that time of night again.

Steve Guttenburg's up. Very enthuastic, Puts his all ito it, and while not bad, not polished movements. Fun, upbeat song and routine. I'd vote for him. He's just so happy. The judges weren't impressed, but he's someone, like Jerry Springer, who can catch hold. If he's got the fan base.

The real question is will I burn my sandwich. I flipped it, I flipped it. Just have to remember the flip side. (ha, ha, ha. I'm so funny.)

Caught the sandwich, cheese didn't melt all the way. Thank you Jesus for microwaves.

Who's next? What will the dance be. Oh, Christian's up. Quickstep. Starting out great. It's one of my more favorite dances, although nothing beats the jive. He's really llooking good and the song's great. Music fitting the dance. I like that.

Well, Len didn't think much of it. Too fast, needs footwork. But it's a fun, well done routine. I liked it. Not great scores, but not real bad. He's got a fun personality, although did the bad thing during Len's criticism, did a thumbs down to Len. Not cool. Steve just kept smiling and thanked them, etc. Much better attitude.

And the next up shall be...

Christie's the best

One fine dancer. All that figure skaking really shows. Graceful, bendy, elegant. Precise movments. Everything good.

One left, Marlee Matlin. I already read the review. Guess her partner helps her with the lack of hearing. 3 9's for Christie. Best scores of all. men and women, I think. So far the women look better than most of the men, except for Mario.

2 new men pro's this season. She's got Fabian, and I didn't recognize Christie's partner. What a challenge, to dance without sound. For me, all dancing is a challenge.

I just with they'd get the music closer to the dance type. It's so weird to watch something having no relationship to the moves.

Hurry up, dumb commercial. And I'm still awake, not even longing for sleep. I could, easily.

Not bad, not brilliant. Think she just needs working out the body stuff. A little stiff, but really good effort. The judges like her more than I do. I think she needs to losen up more, they thought she was great. The greatness is dancing with her deafness and doing so well. Pretty good scores. I'd definately vote for her.

All done for another week. Two dancers eliminated. The worst part.

So far

Priscilla's looks good. Graceful, bendy, into the character of her routine. The judges loved her. She really did look good. I'd vote lots for her. Good scores, some of the highest.

Two more dances. I saw the review headline, Christie wins? Have to go check it out.

Marissa

From Hairspray. Lots of gyrating, no content. The judges told her she's very good, just needs to do the dances. Probably. Lots of personality on stage. Very likable.

Prisilla's up. Another face job that makes me sad to see. I don't know what it is they do, go to the same dr. or something, but it really hanges their faces in a ruination sense. People just used to look refershed after face work. Now they look altered. But her rehersal tape looks good. She seems to have dance ability. Another commercial, more grocey thoughts.

What's the date today? Happy Birthday to me.

well...

She doesn't have the dancer's way. Shannon Elizabeth. She looks like she's having fun, but moves awakardly. Needs to loosen up.

And it ought to be interesting for Marley Matlin to dance. she's deaf at least partially, so how does she find the beat? Wonder if they'll talk about it. She said once that it was nice to be deaf so the kids noise didn't bug her all day. The unconsidered benefits of things.

Monica's up. Looks bad during her rehersal tape. Siff, awakard, not good at all. Much changes by the preformance. We'll see.Much better. Animated and some grace in her movements. Not truly fluid, but not bad at all.

The thing about athletes is how hard they work at their sports. Lots of drive and disapline with or without dance talent and experience. I like her. Her scores are low. But she's got lots of potential. If I could vote, I'd vote for her.

The review's not up yet

So I guess I have to stay awake for the show, and I'm sinking fast. It only starts an hour later than last night. This is a real bummer. I really tried for a nap, got another 10 minutes. It wears off early.

I seriously thought about reading the review and calling it a program, but it's not up yet.

Ladies night. I'm looking forward to Christie Y. Figure skater. She ought to do well. Maybe.

Then there's the girl from a broadway show or movie, I've seen her on talkshows, think she danced or something. I'm just real clear, here, I know.

Pricilla Prestly's in the line-up. She's the oldest contestent yet, I believe. Monica, a tennis player. Athletes don't necessarily do good dance, so this is interesting to see.

Shannon Elizabeth's up first. Guess I've heard of her, but haven't seen her act. She says she's a poker player. I like her partner a lot, too. He's the brother of the female pro I like so much and who's name just isn't there....Julianne? He's Derrick? Beats me.

I did it

I managed to stay awake to finish Dancing. Just too tired to blog.

All I remember now is a new Mario. A singer I've not heard of. He did really well, good chops. The basic dancing bones. But he dances on his videos. Rythm and Blues? Forgot.

Can't remember if there was anyone else I saw now. I've such a steel trap mind. Fun show, though, as usual.

Tonight, the women. I'm shooting for a long nap.

Monday, March 17, 2008

Next Star, please.

It's the men tonight, the women tomorrow. Christian(sp) something. Guess he's on Ugly Betty, Haven't seen the show. Seems like a nice guy. Not a dancer, but doing pretty good. It's always more fun to watch the not so dancers improve. Mario Lopez wasn't fun.

Next up some Adam guy I know I've seen before but don't rememer where or when (guess the phrase.)

Time to grocery shop. Crap. It's also a commercial which is why I'm thinking about that. It'll pass, like all thoughts.

I really want to go to sleep. That won't pass.

So Adam's got Juiliann. She's one f the very best dancers and other very nice lady. He's doing an almost credible job, too. Not bad at all, really. A little stiff. It's really hard to go into dancing cold like this.

Steve Guttenburg's next. Him I know even if I don't how to spell his name. Another 1/2 hour of the show. I may just give it up and go to sleep anyway.

Guess what tonight is?

That's right. Dancing With the Stars night! The opening pro routine was brilliant. They are just so good. Nothing better than exciting dancing. Really.

Some stars I recognize and some I don't like usual. We'll see, if I stay awake, how my inclinations run. I did get a nap today. 10 minutes. It helps, but not a lot.

Penn's on. I've always liked him and his magic shows, too. He's doing pretty darned good. He's got a fun persoality, and it's a light, fun routine that suits him. And I like his partner a lot, too. Kim, I think, she partnered Jerry Springer. Very nice lady.
If he listens to the judges, he'll do well. Not great scores, but he's got lots of potential and can get much better. It's the first dance, after all.

Not great scores for Penn. But he took that and the criticism well. I'm pulling for him.

Next up: A football player? Are Dolphins football? Guess if I pay attention, I'll find out. He looks thin, not like a full back or
something like I know what I'm talking about. Jason something. Oh, my. He moves well. Pretty limber for a football player. Maybe some natural talent. The judges like him. He only got about 3 points more than Penn. I don't get the judging, I just like watching and seeing what they say.

Oh, my. There's an intenational heart-throb comming up. Never heard of him.

Oh, ya

The important thing is that James Garner and Julie Andrews made a couple of movies. Victor/Vicoria is one of the finest movies ever made. It's one of my top favorites at any rate. The whole cast is brilliant. Robert Preston, the best, Leslie Ann Warren, so very funny and good in her role, the football player whoes name I won't remember, great music and dancing, unique plot, great set decoration even. Cannot be faulted.

J.G. made another movie with a business theme. With Natalie Wood? Don't remember exactly, but the business part revolved around patents...who owned them, who wanted them, who got the business. The bad guys lost, of course.

I've got new rental games in the garage. I'm too sleepy. I worked on Animal Crossings till my eyes spun and now I can barely keep them open. It really is nap time. But I had to get through the stupid Rudolph-try-to-get-the-furnature-set-business. I hate Rudolph and almost hate Christmas because it's so painful and awkard to get anything out of him. The Holloween and Thanksgiving sets are much easier, but still lots of tracking around trying to find the buggers. Now I just have to check to see if I have all pieces so I get a good rating from the even stupider Happy House Academy. Think I'm missing one. Bugger. Really, really, bugger.

Why and why not.

Why Hillary over Obama? I think she'd be practical, has common sense. These are important qualities. Obama is gloriously idealistic, but that doesn't get the house cleaned and organized. Hilary'd get out the vaacuum if necessary.

It's foolish and naive to think she hasn't any experience running things. Just how involved was she with Bill's work. Pretty darned close to it, I think.

I just don't see much real advantage in Obama. It's possible he could learn and learn fast on the job. Bush did, didn't he? Well, no he didn't. Not much, anyway.

I'd be ok with McCain, but he's so proud of being a
Regan Republican that he scares me a bit. He's not a scary as most of the other Republicans, however. They are seriously frightening.

Huckabee. Nobody want's to talk about his religious politics. Now, that's extra scary. He thinks that the only laws we need are the 10 commandments. And that they have to be internalized to be effective. Well, I'd have to agree with that last part. But there are some problems with some of them.

The first commandment, for example. Exactly how and which God will be the officially 'no other gods before me' God? And will he legislate it? How to make them internal? Mandated church attendence? Which one? Legislated Sunday school and prayers and daily rectitation of the 10 in schools?

And what's he gonna do about coveting? Are we to inform on each other if we catch a whiff of covetetness in our neighbors? What's the penalty? Jail, fines, public flogging?

And how do they address torte law? Oh, we wouldn't need it cause we'd all be religious? The Bible never has worked to prevent all abuse and it never will. Doesn't matter how internalized it becomes.

What about all the non-christians? Will they be forced into Protestant Practice? See? He's scary. And a really nice guy. I like him. In church, not as head of state.
