more.

Lance safe. It's Lacy I'm having a problem about. Sorry Misty. Screwed up the names.

Cloris and Kim are left. One of my favorites.

Kim's off the show. This is not good. I'd pick others to leave if I had to pick. Favoritism is like that.

Oh, no.

Misty is the star dancer. So who's the new girl pro? I'm just so good with details.

Warren's saved. He's just naturally good. And Maurice. Kim and Cloris still await.

All this and I cooked. I did too. Boiled chicken for sandwiches. Chopped celery and everything. Because I like celery, that's why. Plan on boiling some potatoes tomorrow for salad and fried. Maybe. Would have to chop more celery.

So.

Who's next? I almost don't want to know. Guess I could look for a review. They might keep them off line till after the west coast show is over. How the heck are we supposed to cheat that way?

Wonder if I'll even be able to stay awake. Pretty sleepy already.

Jessical's singing again. Two familiar dancers this time. I like that much better.

Alright! Susan's saved. She's the one I was most worried about.

And see? I'm starting to switch to Obama. I saw McCain on tv this morning and when asked about the economy deal, he went right into campaign speak. People need resasurance*sp* and explination, not get out the vote blurbs. And his adds are deceptive and mean. Haven't seen Obama's comercials lately. I may not pick him, too.

huh...

I like this song she's singing. Love the dancing with the music they do. Don't recognize the dancers. It's all good.

Oh. Guess Rocko was saved. So, Cody's saved. Brooke saved. So Susan and Cloris and Kim are waiting. Toni's and Brooke are the only ones on my list safe so far.

But the others are higher for me.

Special dance. Bet it's fun. Well, so far this routine isn't saying anything to me. Think it's too modern for me? hahahahaha...probably. They're very good dancers, it's just not sympathetic music. Oh, there was a good bit all unison. Now that catches my eye. I'm not sure why tv shows don't program specifically for me. Any guesses?

ah...

The results show. Bummer.

I didn't blog the show yesteday. I slept through it.

I'm all turned around sleep-wise. While I enjoy being up all night, it kinda sucks to miss other things like Dancing. I woke up just in time for the show, then promptly went back to sleep.

But onward.

Oh, oh. Looks like my almost new favorite pro, Misty?, has an attitude. Have to watch her.

They only had 4 days instead of 5 weeks to practice this time, and I guess it showed. Warren and Brook, I guess did the best. They're two really good naturals.

Well, Misty just ought to do what the judges want cause otherwise it hits their points. I wouldn't vote for either. Mario did this kinda stuff. Insisted on moves he wanted to add instead of the proscribed dances. Doesn't work.

Toni's saved. Somebody else? Don't know. Was typing instead of watching.

Jessica Simpson's on. I hope they got that girl, Carrie Underwood?, out of their relatioship. You know she was just calling to get back in with the boyfriend. Causes nothing but trouble to keep in touch like that and guys can be so dumb they don't see what the girls are doing. And feel guilty for breaking their hearts. It's better to just cut it off when they that kinda stuff.

huh?

I don't know what to think.

They all say stuff and I don't get the vocab, the theory, the numbers, the names, the...well, the everything of it all is over my head.

Donald Trump just said something about oil being the key to the economy and is gonna keep going down. What? People with cash, he said, will be ok.

What does that have to do with the banks, the market, the cost of carrots?

I just don't get it. I keep listening, confused. Nothing anybody says seems to stick or clear things up.

I think that nobody really knows what's going on or what will happen or what to do. They all seem to have their ideology they think with and want to apply. Beliefs are all well and good, but what about something practical?

People can't see past their party, eithr. All they do is blame each other. Who voted for these people?

The republican congress was bad. This democratic congress is bad. Why? I don't really get it at all, but it seems to be this is about leadership. Bush's leadership seems to have a negative effect. Maybe it's lack of leadership. He blames the democrats all the time and always has. Today, the sacred leader of the house and saintly speaker sounded like a couple of total fools. Like they have all week and every time I've every heard them. Who voted for these two? And why?

Right before a big econ vote, Pelosi, I hear, blasted the republicans for causing all of this. Stupid. Not true and idiotic timing.

Does anyone really think that people are gonna trust Bush's proposal after the last 7 years of bad judgment? Here he is pressuring them to just give him what he wants without any deliberation, they're too busy playing playground, with us as the toys, and the public isn't interested in backing any of them.

Nobody comes close to agreeing with what to do about the economy and considering politicians usual financial decisions, they're all of them wrong.

And me? I haven't a clue what to do, but anything Bush, Polisi and Reed want, I don't.

The president has to set the tone. Bush as always been a divider and ineffectual leader.

So Obama or McCain? Beats the heck out of me. There's things I fear and like about both of them. Overall, I'd probably lean McCain even with all the big let down I feel every time he creeps over to the religious right.

I heard a bit of Palin explaining her Russia knowlege in a more detailed way. Why didn't she say this in the first place instead of tossing off a smart-assed answer? All that does is make me question her honesty and brains. And now she's hidden. Lots of suspicion grows and grows.

sure hope

That the debate goes on, but really only for the sake of the Missippippi (I know, I said Missouri and I was wrong as usual) folks. The political dudes are all trying to make hay out of it, but bottom line, their chatter is irrelevant, noisy and ridiculous. As usual? You make the call.

And then, Elisabeth on the View. No matter what anyone says about the right, she accuses them of hate speak. She causes an arguement that distracts from the discussion and then looks pleased with herself. She likes the mean. She says the mean thing about the other side as much as possible. I think it's the neo-con thing. It's how they opperate. Makes it hard to take her seriously or like her. It's manipulative and underhanded.

And like today, what was said wasn't anywhere close to hate, only that people were disappointed that Palin didn't talk to the group where Whoopie was.

The compaign is probably running interfearance, preventing her from speaking. But no. Elisabeth found some lame reason she couldn't talk at all. All made up, of course.

Never trust anybody who enjoys upsetting others. Really.

So what did Elisabeth win for the Republicans? Nothing, really. Just more stupid Republicanist method that solves no problems and reinforce the barriers between the left and right.

I think she learned it from Newt.

Another one

Runamock Ranch.

Farmers in Arizona. She homeschools, gardens, preserves produce and stuff. Don't know what he does exactly. I think it's crops, but don't know what. She sometimes doesn't blog as much as I'd like and can't figure out why she wouldn't have the time between lessons, planting, harvesting and canning. Oh, well. It's interesting. They have lessons through the summer since it's too hot to be outside much and break in the winter. Adapting to circumstances. What's real? What's true? Sometimes it depends. No reason to have summers off except for farming.

But I heard that they started day light savings time so that people would shop after work cause they were more likely to during sunlight. Capitalism. Can be a deeply shallow trench. Banks, anyone? Stockmarkets? Real estate deals? It's the love of money, isn't it Jon and Kate.

And that's another thing

These political people are driving me nuts. McCain cancelling the debates interpreted as a political move to bolster his ratings by the left, leadership by the right.

I didn't think he did that for politics. It seemed sincer to me. Patriotic even. Like paying taxes in times of need is patriotic. Like sacrificing during WWII was patriotic. We haven't had to sacrifice anything for any reason for a very long time. Bush made a big mistake by not having us contribute to the war effort. Sanitizsed war isn't real. We didn't have to participate in the loss and the work. We can avoid the news and avoid the suffering. As long as we don't have to give up anything...oh wait. We now have to give up cash. Who's suffering now?

And then they were going on and on about the View's uneven interviews of Obama and McCain. They didn't mention the apples and oranges part of that. Obama's interview was before he was running. Barbara Walters got so ticked at McCain cause he would answer the question she asked him several times. 'What specifically do you and Palin want to change in Washington?' She was frustrated, but the show hasn't had Obama on since the compaing started. They used two brief clips and claimed bias. Who's biased now? That was from Fox, thank you very much.

Sigh...guess I'll just have to keep writing.

Obama, by the way, matches Lincoln's profile more closely than most others. Think about it. Same state even.

Then there's Jon and Kate plus eight. But I've suffered enough taruma today. They're in bad shape human wise. Apparently they get the kid's clothes free, then she has fits if they get dirty cause you know what? She sells them at a consignment shop. Double bonus. So the kids can't be kids not because she's a neat freak, but because it's a cash cow. She refused to let the show pay for her sister-in-law's babysitting, yet lets them pay for her nanny sevice. They pay for an organic chef now? The churches pay them to go talk. So entitled, aren't they. So special. They deserve to be supported by the population cause they're doing such an important think having so many kids. And apparently, a wealthy relative has been funding them from the beginning. I often wonde if they give to anybody. They're awful good at taking. And the show? I'm sure they get a nice salary for it.

See? They always did bug me. They're Christians. I always thought she's too self-important. It shows in all her nagging demands and rudeness.

But they're right to not cancell the McCain/Obama debate, I think. Lots and lots of people are depending on this event and cancelling it would create a real hardship for them. The vendors, hotels, etc. All the special arrangements the school and town made for this. It's easy enough to keep in touch with the problem. But I think McCains's instinct is right. And then the dems were so rude to announce that his presence wasn't necessary. They're idiots to talk that way. Maybe they're just idiots. Not that the Reupblicans are any better. They all sound dumb, too, a lot of the time.

Elizabeth Dole is seriously pissed about this. Apparently she introduced 3 bills to fix this starting in 2002. People don't listen to what they don't want to hear. They were probably thinking about their pork and preks.

favorites

A couple of favorite new blogs. Both are hunters. And journalists. She teaches college journalism. Don't know what he does right now. Both very good writers:

HunterAnglerGardnerCook

Is his blog. Hunts, gardening, cooking game, wine.

Nor Cal Cazadora

Her blog. Hunts and clothes and issues surrounding hunting. Nice NRA post a while back.

Even though I don't hunt and pretty sure I don't have the stomach for it and can't shoot and probably don't want to try all that much, I find their blogs very interesting. I support hunting generally. I don't support some of the stupid things that happen, like AK47s to shoot deer or whatever, but what human endeavor doesn't have it's share of stupidity and stupid people? Care to talk about the stock market? Or the government? Or the banks? I didn't think so.

Susan's saved. That's the important part.

Lance is safe. That means Lacy's back, too. Cody's safe. Only Ted and Toni left. Toni's really good so who's more popular?

And the loser is...Ted. Figures. I could really choose between the two but for different reasons. It'd be a shame for Toni to go since she dances so well, but Ted's a favorite and I'd have to pick him if I had to pick. A real shame.

tonight

More eliminations. This is just not right. But it's a great show none the less.

Great opening dance. Cloris is saved. Kim, too, I think. They'd better save Susan or i'll have something to say. And Ted. He's fun to watch. Of course, I think they all should stay.

Jonas Brothers. I have to say I'm not a real fan. Haven't liked their music a lot so far. It's not bad, not my sound. This song, however, is much better. I can clearly see why all the girls love them, though. I certainly would have then, too. Cool dance bit with the pros. I love it when they do this stuff. My favorite new girl is dancing with Derick. She's got personality.

I like Corky, too. He's the father of Mark, and raised and trained Julianne and Derick. Trained several of the other pros, too.

They're cracking me up. They just did cut aways of the stars ragging on each other. VERY funny. I don't care what the critics may have to say about it. Susan very definately knows how to act. She's probably good at comedy if she ever does any of it much. Ted, of course, is good at comedy it goes without saying. Unless you don't know about his sit com work. Lots of it.

Viewers can vote for things this year like which dance and song, etc. I can't use the website. Maybe I'll try again just to see what happens. But it probably still work for me. I have to get serious about broadband. I'll think about it somemore.

Lost the post

don't know how. Don't know why. Don't know nothin'.

Kim, missing somewhere. Judges say she's not into it enough, but she isn't a performer anyway. Acting lessons. Pretend to be someone else. It's not you on the floor, it's a character and don't pay attention to the audience. It was like she was looking for approval or something. She could really do it. Just overcome? Easy to say, isn't it.

costumes

I wonder how they do costumes since they don't know who's staying. How far ahead do they make them? Do they start right after the elimation show? Farther ahead? That's lots of fast sewing with the full cast of dancers. Both stars and pros. What a trip.

About time. Susan's saved. Great dress, too. Good song again. See if she's more relaxed. Weird for Carrie Ann to recommend she gain weight, but the dancers always loose weight and she can't afford to lose any. Needs calories to keep up with the energy output. Looked real good quickstepping.

Carry Ann....much better tonight. Len, ballroom's her forte more than latin. Bruno, loved her too. Hope she gets better scores. I thought she looked lovely and was having fun. 2 7s and an 8. Big improvement.

Only Kim and the comic are left. We all know by now who I'm pulling for.

Rocco's safe

That's nice, but where's my favorites?

He doesn't look bad, mombo. Guess it takes a lot of hip. I didn't see a lot, but he's entertaining.

Len says he's much better tonight. Bruno, excited by the improvement. Carrie Ann, super sexy. 3 7s. Good scores.

Cody?

The young guy dancing with Julianne. Quick step. Looks pretty good. He was cute and funny in his rehersal tape, too. But the judges say...

Bruno, the flower of youth, likes him. Carry Ann, likes it too, manly instead of boyly. Len, mature dancing, more controled. Good job. Missed the scores, 7s and 8s, but don't know which ones.

And

Where's Kim and Ted? This is where my stomach gets all clenched. Even for the dancers who aren't favorites. I just hate that people have to go.

I don't like the award part of award shows either. I think all nominees have won. It doesn't make sense that one gets a trophy from a group of the best. The clothes are fun to see.

Allright....Ted's saved. That's one more of my favorites.

Mombo. He looks good... has fun, moves pretty good.

Oh oh. Carry Ann...awkardness, great spirit. Len, comendable mombo. Bruno, squeesed every ounce of fun out of it. Needs more musicality. 2 6s and a 7.

Macy's comercial. Uh, guys? They say only one store's been a part of your life for 150 years or something. Well, I believe that none of us are 150 years old. Nothing's been a part of my life for that long. Nice thought, but they could rephrase that one.
He's a kick. Nice guy. Having fun at least. Quick step. Not an easy dance. Specific moves that don't naturally come up anywhere else. Man, he's doing real good. Another fun song, too. Nice music this season.

Len, didn't like his technique, but entertaining. Bruno enthausatic about Warren's flair on the floor. Carry Ann, impressed, tons of fun. But technique not quite right. 2 7s and an 8. Good scores. He really can do this stuff. Lots of potential.

Toni

and the quick step. She's got a heart problem. Nice costume. Looking good quick stepping. She's really got a nice way with this dancing thing.

Judges? Bruno...light, sparkling, elegant. Carry Ann, they move well together, good. Len says, mostly good movement but weird footwork in spots. Very very good. At least they agree with me. But the scores? After the comercial? No, Samantha interview. 2 8s and a 7. Solid. She could be a favorite. Easily.

Safe next? Warren. Where's Susan?

Alright!

Chloris saved. Good. Mambo. She sure knows how to perform. Moves charmingly and having fun. My dad couldn't have done that at 82. I can't do that now. More power to all of 'em for giving it a shot. She's just joy to watch and a treasure.

But the judges say...Carry Ann points for entertainment. Len congratulates Corky for his good job. Bruno never saw such a mambo.

Hope she stays. No scores yet. More commercials. One 6 and 2 5s. Not so bad. Better than last night, I think.

Next couple...Toni Braxton. She's good too.

Brook

She's really good. Great song. Qick step. Looks good to me. This is a hard one. It's one of my favorites next to the jive which is the perfectest dance in God's creation.

Len and Bruno love it. Bruno is over the top emoting. Carry Ann says fantastic. Geeze. 2 9s and an 8. Already. She really is good.

And who's safe next? Always a comercial.

next...

The next saved couple...The Olympian volley ball player, I think she is. Missy? Misty? Missed her name. It's probably something completely different.

They're announcing one at a time who's saved, then they dance. This show is different every year and I can never figure out what's going on.

She looks pretty good, but I'm not latching on. She's not a favorite yet. Carry Ann says much better tonight. Len says good stuff. Bruno also mentioned her arms. I didn't notice them at all.

After all these seasons, I should be a dance observer expert. Clearly I'm not.

3 7s. Solid scores, same as last night. But I thought she was better. I don't get how they score, either.

Maurice saved. He's a happy dancer. He really does good. Naturally good mover with lots of umph. Lots of attitude and fun. Hope he stays.

Judges enjoying it so far. Len says...great but no more 'free willie' steps. He did the worm. Len no like. 3 7s. Guess that's better than last night. I don't remember last night.

I just hope Susan and Chloris especially stay. The I want Kim and Ted to stay. But this is a popularity contest as much as anything, so it's fan base that counts an awful lot.

Ok, I'm tired of blogging now.

guess I should blog

This is gonna be grim. I even got a good nap, but am sleepy already and the show is just starting. And it starts an hour later than last night. I'll never make it. Probably. Or is that, 'probably not'?

Elimanitions already. Then there were, will be, 12.

Lance is upl. he looks good, natural, moves well. Kick-ass song, too.

Judges? Say yea...good news?

Len, didn't like posture and hold, not for him. Bruno, fresh, good timing, sells it, dynamic. Carrie Ann (thanks for printing names on screen!) 6, 7 and an 8 from Bruno. I think he's very entaining, so is his partner, a new girl. I kinda like her. Looks a little punk or goth or something. Seems nice and has great energy and flair on the floor. Good for me, anyway. Think I might not want to hear what Len says.

Kim got

2 6s and a 7. I thought she did pretty good. I like her. Like her show and her family. That stuff carries over from one product to the next. I lost my last post, lost connection. That's been happening a lot lately. What I said I've no idea, and you probably are saved from having to slog through it.

Susan's doing good. Throughing that attitude into the mix. Looks like good feet to me. Just needs more dance practice and she'd be totally sharp. But they all need more practice, don't they. She just needs to lube up a bit and relax. That's such a scary thing to do it's not surprising people are self-conscious. I vote for her, too. And Ted. And Kim. I vote for all my favorites. Lots and lots of times. Judges say, 3 5s. I thought she was a bit better than that. Just needs to relax. She knows how to act, just act it out and forget the self.

I watched All My Children when it first started for several years. Her character was not very nice, very needy and took what she thought would work for her. It never seemed to. She was married to someone who was really meant for Mary - the two later married in real life. Then there was Tara and Phillip. They married each other in a cave all alone. Did she then get pregnant? Oops. Was it Luke and Laura later, or is that another show? Haven't watched soaps for a long time now. Never saw Kellp Rippa in Children, so I'd quit before she started, I guess.

Volleyball champ, Misty's up now. Don't know her, either. Athletes have to overcome their training and move differently and it's not so easy sometimes. She looks pretty good. A little wobbly, but good effort and some good moves.

But the judges say...so far so good. A couple of suggestions. Glad I don't have to, or can't even, vote. What a problem to pick. 6, 7, and an 8. Pretty good score.

I missed it again. Warren? Another athlete? Football player, I think. Pretty darned ood. Has natural moves that brings it alive and his body bends around pretty good. I'd say he's got lots of potential. Lot of character in his dancing. Appealing.

Judges...like him, fun and joy on the dance floor. 3 7s.

Show's over. I hate tomorrow. Elimination. But there's 3rd night this time. Another elimination. I really hate this whole week.

And why is this show on till 10:01? It's the weirdest tv time I've ever seen.

Guess what starts tonight?

That's right, no mystery. Dancing with the Stars.

There's several people on it I already like. Several I don't know.

Julianne's up with a stranger to me. He's some young guy I don't know who he is or what he does. Too young to be interesting.

Same judges. Very excellent. Same hosts. Excellent, too. Guess he danced ok...gots potential.

You know I'm waiting for Chloris Leachman and Susan Lucci. (sp? as usual)

All sixes for the first couple. Not too bad at all for the first day.

Rocko's up. I've seen him a bit on cooking shows and always liked him. He's not so bad, needs to smooth out some. Probably not a brilliant dancer, but a solid effort for the first time. Bruno's not impressed with technique, but good effort. Carryanne says it was cute and generally positive. Len, needs finess, but he's not too mean about it. Rocko really did pretty good. 2 fives and Len, a 4. Not total disaster. Hope he's saved. A good guy.

Stranger up next.
