why

are people so stupid?

A civil rights guy, congressman, is saying that McCain/Palin's speaches are rousing racism. Somebody on Fox is questioning that.

Those speaches are generating hatred. Loud, violent protests against Obama. To many, it looks like racism.

It doesn't matter if it's racism or not. It's wrong. McCain and Palin are creating hatred and mob behaivor. They're connecting Obama to terrorists and many people are somewhat anti that particular political style. Duh.

One woman said she didn't trust Obama because he's an Arab. That would be racists. One guy said to kill him. That would be a lynch mob whether it's against a black or a red or a yellow or a puce.

McCain just said that Lewis' statement is a stain on his honor. But Lewis is right. Why doesn't McCain see that. He doesn't mean to rouse racism...he just wants to win.

Why the hell can't he see what he and Palin are doing?

Until yesterday, they both encouraged this crowd response. They gave the same speeches, getting the same anger. It gets out of control real fast, thus the noose.

I guess I don't expect much from Palin in terms of insight and creative, independent thinking, but I did think better of McCain. One of his supporters keeps saying he's wise and steady and stuff. But I just don't see it.

And Palin's shallow intellectually. She just follows her program both with religion and politics. She's popular and gets away with it.

And the more I think about it, all those tax reductions she came up with must have been paid for by other taxpayers somewhere if she's getting state and federal funding for state or her hometown expenses.

Somebody should check.

I just don't understand things. They're all so simple to me somehow, but they never make sense.
