what?

Was I talking about education? In an effort to avoid chopping celery and making potato salad, I must meditate on education.

Obamam was talking this morning about putting art and music back in school. I think there is no education without culture, but asside from that, it's good for kids and the schools.

How much do little kids love to draw and finger paint and use the easel? They adore it. See? It's good.

But otherwise, some kids are naturally creatively oriented, good at music or art or drama. It gives them solid direction for their talents, a chance to express them and a way to fit in when it's so hard for many who aren't star athletes or achademically brilliant (those kind often don't care what other kids think cause they can think better in the first place) But kids are hard on each other. When they have an avenue to shine, they're more interested in going to school with something to look forward to. Or a least, it may help some of them.

But culture backs up facts and figures and fills up personality and understanding somehow. I don't know exactly how, just that it does.

Kids need to express all the positive sides of human nature, math, p.e. and art to have a complete experience and be complete human beings.

See? I really liked what Obama said this morning. I just hope he understands budgeting and doesn't try to take care of everybody at every level in every way. People need an affordable life, but they need to work for it, too.

It's such a tricky balance, especially when others have to be satisified that 'they' work as hard. It won't be easy to sell healthcare when so many people view it as survival of the fittest(richest). Live or die, it's on your own head and not my problem(tax dollar). How do you suppose they can get the costs of health care down? My niece couldn't get a prescription cause it was $500 and her insurance wouln't cover it. She and her husband both work, 2 kids and can't get medicine.

Listen up, Republicans. This is why.

Ideology doesn't work on systems run amok. The free market will naturally run to rich not right.
